Captured by modern-day pirates on a utopian island off the coast of Africa after rescuing 600 asylum-seeking migrants, the crew of the MV Militobi realize the only way to save Captain Anna Kruger and 30 female passengers from execution is to unite warring villages to help them fight back.
ACT I
Captain Anna Kruger, 46, rescues African and Middle Eastern migrants from smugglers off the coast of Libya. Trouble starts when no other European country will take the asylum-seekers and the ship must find a new home for more than 600 scared passengers.

ACT II
Captain Kruger and first officer Jorge Estrada locate Santa Inez Island as a potential port for their migrant passengers. Upon arrival they learn the island is controlled by modern-day pirates under the command of the brutal Commandant Rafael Delgado who captures the captain and 30 women. The others are forced into three warring labor camps bordered by bamboo walls. Estrada must convince the camps to help him rescue the women.
ACT III
Two of the three camps agree to fight the pirates and struggle through the dense jungle of this bountiful island to attack. Jorge Estrada leads a skeleton crew back aboard the Militobi to fight the pirates from the sea. Captain Kruger and the women escape and join the hand-to-hand combat in what looks to be a losing cause. Will the third encampment of South Asians join the battle to defeat the pirates? Captain Kruger faces life changing questions about her survival, her life's work, and the future of the island.
